About Me

I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated in 2009 from Hempstead High School. I then attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where I majored in Criminal Justice with a Law Enforcement emphasis and a minor in Psychology. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in May 2013. In September 2013, I joined the Iowa Army National Guard as a Combat Medic/Healthcare Specialist. After my military training, I moved to Waterloo, Iowa where I attended the University of Northrn Iowa majoring in Secondary Social Sciences Education and minoring in Psychology. I received my Bachelor of Art degree in May 2017. This is currently my second year of teaching. My first year, I taught in a small town in Iowa at a K-12 building. I taught 7th grade U.S. History, 9th grade Geography, and 11th grade Economics and Government. I currently reside in here in Columbia, Missouri with my daughter and my boyfriend. I am excited to work with all of the students, staff, parents, and the community here in the Columbia Public School District. I am excited for this new adventure in Missouri and to continue my teaching career here at Lange Middle School!
